A comprehensive overview of worldwide ecotourism within specific political and economic contexts, in which Dr. Martha Honey reexamines for the second edition the same six nations she evaluated in the book's first edition: Costa Rica, The Galapagos Islands, Kenya, South Africa, Tanzania, and Zanzibar.

Please note: Due to a publishing error, on the back cover of some copies of the Second Edition, Dr. Honey is erroneously listed as the "Executive Director" of the Center on Ecotourism and Sustainable Development (CESD). Since the founding of CESD, Dr. Honey has been one Co-Director and Professor William H. Durham of Stanford University has been the other Co-Director of the Center. The publisher and Dr. Honey regret the error.
